Tennessee State Museum – Nashville, TN

Assistant Curator (August 2023 - October 2024)

• Assisted the curatorial staff with ongoing projects related to the cataloging and management of a 160,000+ object collection

• Photographed and/or scaned collections objects for digitization, and edit and upload images to the online catalog

  • • Set up a new studio space for in-house object photography and scanning, complete with a 55" screen for image preview and editing purposes

• Assisted with the development of the museum’s field services program to serve other museums across Tennessee

  • • Coordinated and conducted site visits for the TSM Capitol Grant

• Assisted with the re-development of the museum's traveling exhibit program

  • • Helped develop the layout and content for the 2024 traveling version of Building a Bright Future: Black Communities and Rosenwald Schools in Tennessee

Cincinnati Type and Print Museum – Cincinnati, OH

Curator & Assistant Director (February 2020 – June 2023)

• Responsible for all day-to-day activities, including Guest Relations, Education, Collections, Exhibits, Volunteer/Interns, Outreach, and social media

• Designed and implemented all protocols and processes for managing the museum’s historic and working collections

• Oversaw the acquisition of new objects, including printing equipment as heavy as 8,000lbs, and items from as far away as New York City

• Oversaw the growth of the collection to include items such as historical artifacts and archival materials from local printing companies

• Redesigned the museum’s interpretive displays and exhibits to tell a more concise and historically accurate narrative

• Redesigned the museum’s tour structure to focus on personal tours with hands-on demonstrations of printing equipment

• Developed off-site programming utilizing smaller presses and other objects from the collection

• Created the museum’s internship and volunteer programs, and supervised those individuals

• Created the museum’s first website and expanded the museum’s online presence through social media

• Undertook research projects on the history of printing in Greater Cincinnati

Heritage Alliance of NE Tennessee and SW Virginia – Jonesborough, TN

Exhibits Coordinator (November 2017 – August 2019)

• Designed, fabricated, and installed exhibits in the Jonesborough/Washington County Museum, Christopher Taylor House, Chuckey Depot Museum and Chester Inn State Historic Site

• Wrote and served as project manager on a THRAB/NHPRC grant to digitize the Heritage Alliance archival photograph and negative collection

• Designed and led educational programming at the Chuckey Depot Museum that adhered to state standards
